The MTV TJ competition has come and gone in a matter of 13 days, which, I guess, is about the time it really can take to become popular on the internet. The online competition consisted of five Twitter challenges with a final five making it to the end and, furthermost, to the finale. You can read about it here.
If this competition gets a lot of buzz going, look for similar ones to be happening and not just for a TJ job. For example, on "The City," which I mentioned in my post here, there were two women, Olivia and Louise, vying for the spot of "the face of Elle.com." It came down to who had the better interviews, personality, and overall video. If you want to apply for a position such as that, a company will want video samples instead of a resume that states how great you are. From now on, be overly prepared.
