MTV "TJ" search furthers social media popularity

You know social media is coming to it's peak when MTV advertises for a "TJ," or tweet jockey.

That's right. Not a disc jockey or video jockey. Tweet jockey.

The website doesn't entirely specify what the job will entail because it hypes up the idea of moving to New York City and working with MTV Networks with a $100,000 two-year contract. For that, I wouldn't ask too many questions either. I'm putting my best guess that the person who becomes a TJ will update with MTV news and events constantly on Twitter.

Open nominations are now closed, but I'm sure they'll be doing it again, since they say it's such a huge success. The nominees start their Twitter challenges tomorrow, July 7th, so you can follow them through the process or wait for the finale on August 8th that will air on MTV.
